Viborg is Denmark's ‘animation capital’ thanks to The Animation Workshop, which is considered one of the world's leading animation schools. There is a creative cluster of animation companies in connection with the school, and thus Viborg has some unique prerequisites for developing and working with animation.

Another creative environment exists around the Media School, which is one of two schools in Denmark that educates photographers and film and TV production technicians.
